‘Ram and Rahim’ is a family now

New Delhi (23 September 10) Today was the historical day for India and the Indians. Long-standing Ayodhya issue has been resolved. 24^th September was the decision day on the issue when the Allahabad High Court was to give judgment in the case. But a day before, representatives of Hindu and Muslims’ religious group filed a collective petition asking to revoke the verdict HC had planned to deliver. Hindus and Muslims, for the first time in public, showed their solidarity not demonstrated since the civilization stepped in on this earth. Both the communion desisted their claim & ownership on the disputed property. On the top of it, they had proposed the property to be converted to an obelisk as an epitome of Hindu-Muslim unity. The monument will be funded by both the religious organizations. The government is also expected to contribute their share in the construction and maintenance of the structure. Entire Ayodhya was abuzz with celebrations. Rice puddings and sweets were being distributed all across the city. Fire crackers and lightning in the open sky was a delight to watch. Woman and children visited each other’s places and exchanged gifts and sweets. Mohd. Faiz who has tailored Lord Sri Rama’s clothes in the temple for the last 25 years is a happy man. He says that he can die in peace now as there will be more people attending his cremation than he had sparked. Shiv Kumar, the 52-year sweet vendor who had distributed sweets for free during Eid for many years has a point to make. He says that his sweet shop didn’t had any name fearing violence anytime. But now he has ordered a big sign board to be placed atop his shop. He has named it as ‘Ram-Khan Sweet shop’. Aligarh too celebrated the victory of humanity over self. The drummers performed on the streets with almost everyone dancing and exclaiming in joy. Reactions from the international fraternity are pouring in each minute. White House called our PMO to congratulate on the distinctive feat achieved. In Pakistan, mixed reactions were observed. While their government authorities sent bouquets and congratulation messages to the Indian embassy in Islamabad, the extremist organizations preferred to keep it low. UK brought the house down and conveyed its bouquets of orchids for both the communities for the mutual understanding exhibited.
